Posted on 04 May 2008 by DavidAuld Yins verses Young YinsThe Auld Yins Vs the Young Yins match took place on Wed 23rd. In a grudge match game in which the Auld Yins have won the previous 4 encounters, the Young Yins were out for some revenge on the ageing stars and took an early 7 shot lead across the board. As the match wore on the Auld Yins had to call upon their vast expierience to claw the shots back and it was the Father Vs Son battle that was to be the key game. Robbie Dog decided to teach young Pup Lindores a lesson and opened up a substantial lead turning a 5 shot deficit into a 7 shot lead. In the other games Old Father Time Jim Straker managed to see off the challenge of Niki Hill and Young David Robertson's team decided to lie down to Dougie Munro in the last end, as he would've just taken the huff if they had beat him.
Full Results; N Hill 7 J Straker 10; E Lindores 10 R Lindores16 D Robertson 9 D Munro 10
So the final outcome is the Auld yins winning again by 36 - 26
